Wendy Ward and I have common concerns within our work; waste. Together, we developed a relay-style visual project crafting confessional data about consumer habits onto artefacts. We titled the project ‘Ex:Change’ to describe the artefacts' past lives (‘ex’), the transformation of their identity (‘change’), and the conversations about them (‘exchange’). It was conceived as a practical project, but the benefits to knowledge, friendship and resilience in the face of a challenging topic have continued to be exchanged.
